Do you use too many words when you speak?

Short speeches … or else

The next time you’re asked to write a report or make a presentation, keep this story in mind:

A teacher asked a student to sum up Socrates’ life in four lines. He said:

1. Socrates lived long ago.
2. He was very intelligent.
3. Socrates gave long speeches.
4. His friends poisoned him.
